The apartment is well situated, 100m from large indoor shopping centre with restaurants, shops and multiplex cinema. This is an excellent base for visiting the London Olympics 2012 – walking distance to the railway station and 20 minutes’ train journey to central London (Kings Cross St Pancras station). Around £12 will buy a travelcard covering the journey plus unlimited access to the London bus and underground system for the day. The white water rafting centre at Waltham Abbey is a 25 min drive away.

Closer to home, the beautiful and historic Hatfield House, set within large gardens, is within walking distance. The historic market town of St Albans, with its many bars, restaurants and shops is a 10 minute journey by bus or car. There are several golf courses with public access in the local area, as well as many public footpaths and cyclepaths through scenic countryside.

Luton and Stanstead airports can be reached in 30 minutes, with London Heathrow some 40 minutes away. The A1(M) nearby provides easy access to the M25, London and the North. St Pancras International is 20 minutes by train.
